Take an Assessment
Most assessments take 5 to 30 minutes. Do your best and work on your own, without help from friends, books or the internet.
Start
- Open your assessment (see how).
- The first time in a course, LASSO asks What is your role in this class? Choose Student (or your role) and click NEXT.
Answer the questions
- One question appears at a time. Choose an answer and click NEXT.
- Use BACK or the question-number menu at the top to return to a question.
- On the last question, click COMPLETE SECTION.
Need a break?
- Click SAVE AND COMPLETE LATER, then OK. You will see Assessment Saved.
- To continue, open the same email link again, or sign in and start the assessment from your Dashboard or Assessments page. You return to where you stopped.
Finish before the deadline in your email.
Consent and background questions
- Read the Informed Consent Form. Choose YES or NO for whether your responses can be used for research, then click Next.
- Answer the short demographics questionnaire (gender, ethnicity, race, parents’ education, whether this is your first time in the course, and your year in school). Most include a “Prefer not to answer” option. Your answers are not shared with your instructor. Click Next.
- When you see Assessment Completed, click OK. You are done.
If you have used LASSO before, your earlier consent and demographic answers are filled in; check and change them if needed.
