Statistics Concept Inventory (SCI)

Purpose

The SCI is an 30-question instrument that assesses students reasoning abilities and conceptual understanding of concepts central to statistics. These topics include elementary probability, descriptive statistics, hypothesis testing, visualizations, and correlation.

Population

The SCI is commonly administered to college statistics students.

Typical Performance

The SCI is a relatively new instrument and does not have an established performance range.
